How it works

A season-long sportsbook, minus the money

Everything you would expect from a betting slate and a leaderboard, inside a private league, with units that only exist to keep score.

  1. 1

    Join with a link

Your commissioner sends an invite link. Open it, confirm you are 18 or older, and pick a display name. That is the whole sign-up.

  2. 2

    Get your units

Each league gives every member the same starting bank. In the OFP Classic preset that is 10,000 units for the season; weekly-units leagues hand out a fresh 100 every week.

  3. 3

    Bet the lines

Open the slate, see spreads, totals and moneylines from regulated US books with home and away spelled out, and build a straight bet or a parlay in the slip. The line and price lock the moment you confirm.

  4. 4

    Watch it grade

Finals settle automatically, with a short grace period for score corrections. Each ticket shows the locked line, the book, the timestamp and the final score it was graded against.

  5. 5

    Climb the standings

Standings update as bets settle: bankroll balance, net units or ROI, whichever your league chose. Weekly and season views, plus the all-time table if your commissioner imported history.

Bets and pricing

  • Spreads, totals and moneylines on every game in your league's sports.
  • Parlays from 2 legs up to the league's limit (10 in OFP Classic). A pushed leg drops out instead of killing the ticket.
  • Teasers are planned for v1.1; props and futures later.
  • Commissioners pick a pricing mode: exact book odds, flat vig (risk 11 to win 10 on spreads and totals) or even money. The line itself always comes from the book.
  • Stakes come out of your available balance when you place the bet, so you can never be exposed for more than you have.

Grading rules

  • Win, loss and push are graded against the line on your ticket, never the closing line.
  • Games that do not start within the league's window (24 hours for football) are voided and the stake returned.
  • If a final score is corrected later, affected bets are regraded and everyone involved is notified.
  • Commissioners can override a grade with a required reason; overrides are visible in the league.

What units are

Units are points. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or redeemed, and nothing in the product moves them between people. Rebuys, where a league allows them, are free. Nothing you can pay for changes a balance, a line or a standing.

The pre-kickoff board

Before a game starts, members can see that you have a bet on it and how big it is, but not which side. Everything is revealed at kickoff. Commissioners can turn this down to fully hidden or up to fully open.

Keeping up

  • League chat with @mentions, reactions and automatic posts for big results.
  • Notifications per league and per category: graded bets, lock reminders, mentions, weekly recap. All opt-in; no marketing pushes.
  • Install the app from your browser for push notifications on iPhone and Android.

Questions about rules, data or the legal side are answered in the FAQ.
