An Office Football Pool alternative for share pools
OfficeFootballPool's share pool was a private office pool: everyone started with the same virtual bankroll and picked against the lines. Splash Sports bought the site, and that pool is not what it was. Picks N Props is a private office pool with virtual units and live lines. We are not OfficeFootballPool, and we are not Splash.
What the share pool was
Commissioners recruiting players posted the rules leagues actually used. Everyone started with 10,000 shares. You could bet sides, totals, and moneylines, and build parlays. The usual price was risk 11 to win 10. Picks locked when the game started, and a player who lost the whole bankroll was out. Postponed games came off the card.
OfficeFootballPool's own page advertised parlays, teasers, and a choice of even money or the posted odds for that share pool.

What changed after Splash bought it
Splash acquired OfficeFootballPool in 2021. The OfficeFootballPool site now says it is winding down and is not taking new memberships.
Splash's help center documents a private NFL Shares contest with a 1,000-unit starting bank, a 100-unit cap on one pick, and parlays of 2 to 4 legs. A different Splash article describes NFL Shares as a team draft rather than a bankroll pool, so those two pages do not describe the same game. Commissioners looking for the old share pool have said in public that the format is gone.

What this office pool is
A commissioner opens a private league. Members get virtual units — 10,000 in the OFP Classic preset — and pick spreads, totals, moneylines, and parlays against live lines. The line you confirm is the line you are graded on.
Units have no cash value. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or redeemed. There is no entry fee and no prize paid through the product. Public sign-up is closed. Request an invite, or sign in if a commissioner already sent you one.
How the share-pool settings compare
Three differences are enough to see the gap. The OFP Classic preset here starts at 10,000 units; Splash's NFL Shares page says 1,000. Parlays in the preset run from 2 to 10 legs; NFL Shares documents 2 to 4. A stake cap is optional here, including none; NFL Shares documents a 100-unit maximum.
The setting-by-setting notes, with a source on each row, are on the OfficeFootballPool comparison and the Splash Sports share pool comparison. We cannot pull a league out of either site. You can upload last season's names and totals from a spreadsheet, then send one invite link.

Questions commissioners actually ask
- Is Picks N Props an Office Football Pool alternative?
- It is a private office pool with virtual units and live lines, for leagues that ran a share pool. It is a different product, run by different people. It does not use OfficeFootballPool or Splash accounts, and it is not affiliated with either of them.
- Does Splash Sports still have a share pool?
- Splash documents an entertainment-only NFL Shares contest. That page sets a 1,000-unit bank, a 100-unit maximum, and parlays of 2 to 4 legs. Another Splash article calls NFL Shares a team draft. Neither write-up is the 10,000-share pool commissioners ran on OfficeFootballPool.
- Can our league collect dues or pay prizes here?
- No. Units have no cash value, and the product has no fees, pots, or prize payouts. The terms prohibit using it to organize money play.
