This is not gambling
Picks N Props is a free social game. It uses real sportsbook lines to keep picks honest, but nothing of value is ever at stake.
Why we are confident saying that
Gambling generally requires three things at once: you pay something to play (consideration), the outcome depends on chance, and you can win something of value (a prize). We remove two of the three by design:
- Nothing to pay. Playing is free. There are no entry fees, buy-ins or purchases that affect play, and rebuys are always free.
- Nothing to win. Units are a scoreboard. They cannot be cashed out, transferred, sold or converted into anything, and there is no way to move them between members.
What we deliberately do not build
- No prize pools, side pots, "settle up" tools or payment links.
- No way to buy, gift or transfer units, and no paid feature that touches gameplay.
- No house lines. We display the reference sportsbook's numbers as posted.
- No sportsbook promotions or affiliate links inside the product.
- No identity checks, location prompts or financial information.
What we ask of you
Keep money out of it. Organizing cash play around a league, or sharing payment handles in chat, breaks our terms and can expose you and your league to local laws on private pools. Chat filters payment links automatically and we act on reports.
If sports betting is a problem for you
Even without money on the line, following lines every week is not for everyone. You can pause your account at any time.
